For Dutch and other EU citizens:
Where do I vote? You can vote in polling stations (in Dutch) based in your municipality. You can find your nearest polling station on the front of your voting pass. If you wish to vote in another municipality, you need to request a voter's pass on the Electoral Council's website (in Dutch).
You can authorise another person to vote on your behalf (i.e. by proxy) using either the back of your voting pass or you can request a written authorization (schriftelijke volmacht) using a separate form (model L8).. More information on Voting in European Parliament elections (in Dutch and English)
Additional info for EU citizen voting in The Netherlands EU elections: As an EU citizen voting in the Netherlands, you have to register to vote no later than 23 April 2024. You register with your municipality using the Y 32 form, which can be requested from your local municipal office. Once successfully registered, you can vote in polling stations (in Dutch) based in your municipality. You can find your nearest polling station on the front of your voting pass.
What documents should I bring? Bring your voting pass and identification. For identification a Dutch ID card, passport, or Dutch driver ́s license is allowed. This document may have expired for a maximum of 5 years.
Accessibility Information: All polling stations should be accessible for voters with a disability. In some cases, voters may be given assistance when casting their vote.

Accessibility Information: If you physically can not get to the polling station, you can authorize someone else to vote for you. You can do this in two ways:
- By transferring your voting pass to them
- Fill in the back of your ‘stempas’ (voting pass). Give your voting pass to the person you would like to vote for you. You should also give them a copy of your identity document. This can also be a photo on your mobile phone or tablet. Make sure that the information can be clearly read.
- By written proxy
- For this, you need to request a form ‘verzoek om bij volmacht te stemmen’ (request to vote by written proxy) from your municipality. Both you and the person who will be voting for you need to complete the form. Return the form to the municipality no later than Monday 3 June.

Outside the Netherlands
Where do I vote? If you live abroad, you may register permanently as a 'Dutch voter abroad' on the municipal website of the Hague no later than 25 April 2024. Once successfully registered, you will automatically receive your postal voting pass and return envelope by post before each election.
If you are temporarily abroad, e.g. on holiday, you can only vote by proxy. You can authorize another person to vote on your behalf (i.e. by proxy) using either the back of your voting pass or you can request a written authorization (schriftelijke volmacht) using a separate form (model L8).
