Where do I vote? If you want to vote in your country of origin and you live abroad, you should contact the relevant authority in your country of origin to find out if you can do this. If you are an Irish citizen but you are living in another EU country you can vote in that country.
You can vote in the European Parliament elections in accordance with the laws of the Member State in which you reside.
Additionally, you might be eligible for a postal vote if you are:
- An Irish diplomat posted abroad, or their spouse or civil partner who is living abroad with them
- A whole-time member of the Defence Forces

What documents should I bring? Bring some ID such as driving license, PPS card, or passport. A full list of acceptable ID is available on electoralcommission.ie.
