Do you have a disability or experience any limitations preventing you from reaching a polling station?
For Swedish and other EU citizens:
Where do I vote? The exact location of the relevant polling station is stated on the voting card. People entitled to vote will receive a voting card in the post, approximately three weeks before the elections.
Accessibility Information:
You can vote by courier (proxy) if because of old age, illness or a disability you are unable to go yourself to the polling station or an advance voting location. A proxy must be at least 18 years old and can be any of the following:
- a relative
- your carer or someone who normally helps you with personal matters
- a member of staff at a detention center or prison
- a postal worker (if you are served by a rural mail carrier)
If you do not know of anyone who may act as your courier, your municipality can arrange for a vote recipient to come to your home.
Ambulant vote collection is an option available to voters who are unable to vote in advance or to come to a polling station in person. Your municipality will arrange for two vote collectors to come to your home to pick up your vote. For further information, please contact your municipality.
You can also vote in advance at a voting location anywhere in Sweden. Advance voting starts 18 days before election day and goes on right up to election day itself.

Outside Sweden
Where do I vote? You can vote from abroad by post or at the Swedish embassies and consulates. You must apply to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) every ten years to be included on the electoral roll from abroad, please find here the link to the form for registering to the electoral roll (available in Swedish).
In order to vote by post, you need material that you order from the Election Authority, a local authority or a Swedish embassy or a Swedish consulate. Postal votes have to be sent from abroad. You can vote by post as early as 45 days before election day. Postal votes must be sent from abroad and must arrive in time for the counting of the votes.
